Invitation to the Contemplation and leadership course 2018:

  • The course aims to offer a way to release stress for people in midst of a busy life by opening a space of inner silence and emptying one’s mind from negative thoughts. Based on the key elements of the Spiritual Exercises of Ignatius Loyola (1491-1556) Contemplation is done with biblical texts, images and symbols as well as with mantras.The Contemplation and Leadership course will be separated into 2 parts and 4 sessions.

Workshop

Dr. Rothlin S.J. was born in Zürich, Switzerland. Throughout his professional life, he has been a transformative force in the field of ethical thought and its application in the Chinese context. His approach to ethics is holistic and collaborative, always aiming to synergize our world’s cultural and wisdom traditions to discover common principles to work from. In particular, Dr. Rothlin’s academic and professional contributions to the area of international business ethics has been especially efficacious, raising awareness about the power and influence of business in a globalized world and how through it we can bring about a truly common good.

Dr. Rothlin acquired two Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degrees, in Philosophy, Theology and Ethics, from universities in Rome, Munich and Paris. He completed his academic studies in 1991 with a PhD in Moral Theology, Economics and Philosophy at the State University of Innsbruck, Austria, and is fluent in six languages, including Chinese, English, German, Italian, French, and Spanish.
