Introduction
The Macau Ricci Institute in cooperation with the Faculty of Creative Industries of the University of Saint Joseph jointly launch the MRI&USJ CINEMA FORUM which aims to provide a new opportunity to better understand movies whose stories open great insights into traditional and contemporary Chinese cultures. The goal of the Forum which is open to the public is to open different perspectives on a key feature of Confucian Ethics namely the 君子, the morally refined “Master” who inspires others to do good deeds even under the most adverse circumstances. The goal is to help participants not only to understand the story line of the movie and identify the key actors but also to understand the ethical dilemmas the different actors and the Master face.
